Greetings from Good Karma Foundation
Good Karma Foundation was incorporated in 2008 as a 501 (c) 3 as a vibrant body promoting values through promoting culture, education, housing and inculcating values such as compassion, dignity for labour, empowerment of women and marginalized community.
In the last decade and more, Good Karma Foundation has supported single/ dependent women by providing financial support for housing. Good Karma is also providing scholarship for the needy students through financial assistance for professional & other courses. During the recent floods in Kerala Good Karma has mobilized volunteers and materials to support the initiatives of many NGO Bodies.
The latest initiative of Good Karma Foundation, “Make Friendship” is a platform to show love and gratitude to the fisher folks of Kerala who had selflessly helped Kerala survive the worst floods seen in almost a century. The main objective of this campaign is to provide the society with a platform that will be a channel for bringing this otherwise insulated community to the mainstream.
Make Friend Ship Campaign has 3 verticals
- Let the fisherfolk know that you care, by gifting them an insurance policy. If you wish, you can collect details of the family you insured and become a Mentor/ friend of ‘their family’ (Not mandatory).
- You can fund, sponsor or associate with any project designed for the betterment and welfare of the fishermen community. Team Friendship an experts will identify the projects that will cater to the needs of the fishermen.
- Make paper boats (Friend Ships) with words of gratitude written on it to add to the art installation called ‘The Ship of Gratitude’ – The largest ever platform to collectively express that Gratitude is your Attitude. Each of us who makes the friend ships (paper boats) becomes part of a huge collective expression of solidarity. Thus taking a prominent role in ‘The Blue Revolution
